The simulations results of round forged parts are presented. The calculations are performed using QFORM-2D software based on the finite element method. The paper gives the comparison of the results of forming of round forged parts in mechanical press and hammer. The calculation results were compared for different parameters especially to study distributions of temperature, effective strain, flow stress and changes in loading. The technological parameters were determined, which may provide guidelines when the method is implemented into production.
