Considering the rising prices of materials, enterprises engaged in processing of alloys and in the manufacture of castings seek for production cost reduction. One saving way is utilization of recycled material or remelting of foundry returns. This study is focused on evaluation of mechanical and thermomechanical properties of the Al-Cu alloy (RR.350) at multiple remelting in cast condition. The research team focused on a change of following properties: tensile strength, hardness, microhardness, alloy chemical composition change, alloy microstructure change and dilatation after remelting.
